The White-Rodgers 1C20-101 is a reliable, economy-class mechanical thermostat designed for single-stage “heat only” systems. It operates on 24 V (and is compatible with millivolt systems), featuring rugged snap-action contacts, a built-in bimetal thermometer, and an adjustable heat anticipator for fine-tuning system response. The temperature setpoint range spans 50 °F to 90 °F (10 °C to 32 °C). One key convenience is the lowest setting functions as an Off position (no dedicated “Off” switch required), making installation straightforward. It comes with a wall-mounting plate that helps cover previous thermostat mounting marks, and importantly is mercury-free, aligning with modern environmental standards.  Physically, the unit measures approximately 3.75 ″ high × 2.875 ″ wide × 1.5″ deep.  It’s ideal for residential heating systems (gas, oil, electric) where only a simple on/off (“1 heat / 0 cool”) function is required.
