This non-programmable digital thermostat from White-Rodgers includes two AA Energizer® alkaline batteries. The batteries power the unit’s first-stage heat and first-stage air.
Heating and Cooling
The unit provides first-stage heat (no auxiliary heat) for gas, oil, electric, and heat pump systems. It provides first-stage cooling for compressor systems.

The 70 Series thermostat is the perfect upgrade from a mechanical thermostat because of its electrical accuracy and the fact that it doesn’t require an extra wall plate. It’s also compatible with all millivolt systems and provides accurate readings.
