Universal sealant. Lubricates and seals threaded joints on water, oil and fuel lines. Temperature range -65°F to 400°F (-54°C to 204°C); resists common shop fluids.
Permatex Pipe Joint Compound is a black, viscous, brushable liquid sealant and lubricant.
On pipe joints, apply to male thread, brushing the compound well into the root of the thread. Assemble in the usual manner. On flanges and gaskets,apply a thin coat to each surface. Let set for five minutes and bolt together. Keep can tightly closed when not in use
